Reillanne

Situated at an altitude of 550 m, this ancient fortified village will give you wonderful views, especially of Saint-Denis, where the castle ruins dominate the village.

Reillanne has a rich ancient past rooted in prehistory. Roman legions occupied the region and created the Domitian Way from here, later wiped out by barbarian invasions.

Start your visit at Porte Saint-Pierre, the town’s only surviving ancient gate, to arrive at the parvis of the Chapelle Saint-Denis. From the bell tower you will have a spectacular view of the Grand Luberon, the Vallée de l’Encréme and the pre-Alps.
