Oppedette

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, Oppedette is a small village (barely 40 inhabitants) perched on a rocky promontory overlooking the gorges carved by the Calavon River to form the Oppedette Canyon.

Arriving by road from Vachères, you can admire this village that has been completely restored and integrated into its surroundings while respecting and preserving the rural character of the place and the village.

Travel Tip

• This is where the GR4 and GR6 trails start to cross the gorge; bring comfortable walking shoes.
• The Belvedere in the village offers a magnificent view of the surroundings and the gorge.
